TRAVEL TOURS in homeland of GOLDEN FLEECE

Once upon a time in the old world near the Black Sea there was the "country of the Golden Fleece"-- the gold-rich kingdom of the Kolkhian King Aieti. On the bank of the of the Fasisi (Rioni) River, in the grove of Aresi, adragon guarded the Golden Fleece which was hung on anĀ oak. Greek and Roman authors wrote frequently about Kolkheti: it is enough to recall "Argonauts" by Apolonius Rodosel and 'Geography'' by Strabon. "Medea" by Euripides made a very intriguing story and brought more popularity to the Aiety Kingdom.

Today in Georgia on the banks of the Fasisi there is no Golden Fleece hanging in the oak grove of Aresi, but the Georgian National Museum offers tourists all the fireworks of a sensational and rich collection of myths.
